Listen up, people, the moment of truth has arrived! An indie visual novel game that goes by the name of Analogue: A Hate Story was released on Steam for $9.99 on April 27, which might act as a beacon of hope for future titles.
Analogue: A Hate Story was created by Christine Love, and the game covers a non-linear story about solving a mystery behind an abandoned space ship that was launched into space 1,000 years ago. If that is not enough for you, the game has five endings, transhumanism, cosplay, loneliness, and marriage.
Looking at the game’s screenshots, it looks like the entire game features only text and character illustrations with plain looking backgrounds. Before you label this as a disappointment, the game might make up for it in the storytelling and gameplay department. One thing for sure, it opens up the doors for future visual novel games to appear on Steam
