LUPE lll DVD COLLECTION COMING OUT SOON!

Discotek Media announced sometime last year that they had managed to license the first season of the legendary television series Lupin III. After several months of hard work, the company is almost ready to release it to the public. Reportedly, the DVD collection will hit stores on June 26th —and I can’t wait to get my hands on it.
Lupin III: The Complete First Series, will contain all 23 episode of the original 1971-1972 show in Japanese, with brand new English subtitles. Out of the 23 episodes in the show, 9 were directed by Masaaki Osumi, the rest are accredited to Isao Takahata (Heidi of the Alps, 3000 Leagues in Search of Mother) and Studio Ghibli’s Hayao Miyazaki. The soundtrack was composed by Takeo Yamashita and includes performances by Charlie Kosei.
Earlier this year, Discotek Media also revealed via their official Facebook page that they plan on releasing moreLupin movies and television specials sometime in the future. Lets hope they do!
