am I the only one who turns into a ball of mush while watching this anime?

this episode was kind of, I don’t know how to describe this feeling
for me. I was sad, but kind of happy at the same time. In the
beginning….
*reminder** it is now winter time and it’s right before christmas now in this anime!**
In the beginning of the episode, they do their usual preview of what
happened last week. Which was when Kaoru confessed his feelings for
Ritsuki.
After the preview/the intro, it shows Kaoru, Sentaro, and the others practicing.
Suddenly,
Jun arrives telling them great news about if they are ready to perform
in front of a live audience. It’s a bar where U.S. troops are stationed
at, and Jun says they better give it their all.
I thought this was a
great opportunity for each and every single one of them. With Kaoru
being shy at first, he suddenly came out of his shell, and it makes me
happy to watch him open up and show others what he is truly capable of.
The performance is on christmas day, and they have one month to practice.
Ironically, Sentaros birthday is on christmas day.
I think it’s great how Sentaro gets to perform what he loves doing on his 16th birthday. It made me smile.
In the next scene, we arrive at Sentaro and Karous school grounds.
In
the last episode.. We saw Sentaro and that girl in a room together,
alone. Sentaros shirt was off and right when this was happening, Karou
was walking by, and he thought something.. Bad was happening.
Karou asks what was going on, and if they are in that type of
relationship. It turns out that Yurika (the girl over the summer that
was with him, and who I was talking about up there) was just drawing a
portrait of him.
For some reason Karou feels relieved, and for some reason, I felt relieved as well.
A few days later, Karou is at a shop looking for something to get
Sentaro. He ends up wanting to get him drumsticks for his present, when
suddenly, Ritsuki appears as well.
I got nervous when I saw this happen, due to what happened in the last episode.
Surprisingly, they were both calm and collective. They ended up splitting the cost of the sticks together and purchasing them.
They leave the store together, and go on a walk. (AHHH!!)
Snow starts to fall and it’s a perfect scene. I was happy until…
THEY
KISSED. Yes, I was both happy and sad at the same time, until Ritsuki
stared at him after the kiss and started crying, she then ran away with
tears in her eyes.
Sentaro appears after the kiss with his family.
Sentaro and Kaoru get in a fight, and Kaoru realizes that he is
jealous of Sentaro because he has a perfect family. And that is why he
is angry at Sentaro. I was really sad at this part.
I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Sentaro and Kaoru fighting? This isn’t what’s supposed to happen.
Later on in the episode, we find out that Sentaro hasn’t always had a perfect life.
He’s actually had a lot of family issues, his father was a drunk and couldn’t even look at his son, Sentaro anymore.
It all went down hill from there, and this is when Sentaro gains his rebellious attitude.
His father went out of control after his mother died, and sentaro also lost control as well.
Sentaros father lost his job, even.
His father ended up finding another job in a prefecture, and he said he was gonna live and work there for a while.
His father is still working there, and he hasn’t came back to visit in years.
Sentaro begins to say that he’s actually enjoying the time he has with his family more than ever.
After this scene, I am a ball of mush and so is Kaoru. Kaoru feels
horrible for even treating him the way he treated him earlier on in the
episode.
It’s the next night and they are about to perform on stage.
Their
performance is great until a few racist slurs come out of someones
voice, and this is when Sentaro decides on leaving the stage because he
is so upset. This leaves Karou and Jun all by themselves, performing a
song.
They are doing great, even though it’s just the two of them.
Once again, I was happy.. And sad. I wish all of them could perform
together, since they were all waiting for this day. They put in so much
effort.
After the performance, they head home.
Sentaro is somewhat upset, but after Kaoru telling a few smart
remarks, he begins to laugh and joke around with him. Kaoru tells him
words of encouragement, saying even though they had a rough performance,
they had a great experience still. Sentaro agrees.
I was happy at
this scene! Even though they were brought down, they still show how
strong they are, and they prove once again to everyone that they
shouldn’t let what other people say let them down. They are strong
enough to get through it.
You then see.. Jun and Yurika walking together? It looks as if this
is a new beginning, will this turn into something else, something more
than a friendship? I am left wondering.
Of course, the episode ends, leaving us all hanging!
But I was still happy
I love this anime so much!
It makes me smile and cry both at the same time.
Like I said, I turn into a ball of mush.
I hope I’m not the only one who turns this way!
